Dr. Patel is conducting a study on Classic CMTC. To be considered for this study, the patient must have the diagnosis of “Classic CMTC.” This involves the typical marmorata (marbled appearance of markings), atrophy of the skin and/or a limb (no over-growth), and no secondary diagnoses or affected organs.
This will also require blood or saliva samples, plus a skin biopsy. This will be a punch biopsy where a small, tube-shaped piece of skin and underlying tissue are removed using a sharp cutting tool. The size is typically 3 to 4 mm in size.
Dr. Patel and his research team will handle the informed consent and arrangements. Click here to contact Dr. Patel.
